BLE's unique energy calculator for businesses.

BLE employs a unique energy calculator for businesses which will work out the carbon footprint of your energy usage and project this with the recommended energy efficient lighting solution.  This will form the basis of the energy saving report. You will be able to see how much energy you will save by updating your lighting system - and therefore what the saving will be for your bottom line.

Total project costs.

Unlike other consultants, we will provide you with a quotation for the entire project, including the cost of the light fittings and the installation. So, you'll have clear numbers for your business plan and you will never get any nasty surprises!

This allows us to provide a definitive pay-back period for the upfront investment you will need to make. Very often, this is under two years. After this period you will start to feel the full benefit of the massive energy reductions - which could be as much as 80%.  We can also advise you about whether there are any energy loan schemes or grants available.

If you have all the relevant information to hand, we can start by giving you an initial indication in minutes over the telephone. All you will need is a copy of your recent fuel bills (electricity, gas, oil etc) for the past year plus information about the current light and power fittings you have. We will be able to provide you with a detailed quotation plus a list of lighting solutions which would replace your existing fittings.

Comprehensive service.

           Your initial meeting

This meeting is likely to take longer than one hour. During this time, we will identify where your organisation currently is with its energy reduction plan, what energy efficient lighting and controls you currently have in place, and the key areas where you are looking for improvement.  This will help us ensure that we reach the ultimate energy saving solution for you.

          Your energy reduction survey

This will take place on a day and at a time convenient to you.  During the survey, we will identify what light fittings you have currently and how they are monitored and controlled.  This is only a visual inspection and we will not need to have access to the actual fittings.  We will take dimensions of the site at this stage.  If you have a lay-out drawing of the building this would help enormously, although it is not essential. This information will allow us to accurately design the lighting system using our light simulation software.

          Your lighting design

We take the information gathered during the survey and produce an existing and proposed lighting plan using our state-of-the-art software and market-leading expertise.

          Your presentation

When we come back to you to present our findings, we will provide you with a detailed summary including your current carbon footprint, a clear indication of the potential energy saving a new lighting system would provide using our energy calculator, and a quotation for the full project which then defines the pay-back period.
